1. What Data Do We Collect About You?
For App Market, we shall collect and use your personal data only for the purposes stated in this Privacy Statement. Personal data refers to any data that enables us to identify you as a user.
We will collect and process the following data:
HONOR ID information, including account name, account identifier, profile picture, nickname, country/region, and temporary user identification credentials.
Device information, including the device identifier, application identifier, device brand, device type, device model, screen width, screen resolution, language setting, device OS version, ROM version, country of delivery, and list of installed apps.
Network information, including IP address, Wi-Fi information, network type, network connection status, carrier information, and country code.
Application information, including application package name and application version.
Service usage information, including App Market version number and download source, time of app enabling/disabling, number of taps, number of exposures, app search history, app download and installation history and results, app login results, installed app information (such as category and version), list of uninstalled apps, list of installed apps, user agreement signed, privacy statement consent, system error log, and maintenance history.
App comment information, including the app commented on and the content of the comment.
Report information, including the app reported, the comment reported, and the content of the comment.
App pre-orders information and wish list information, including the list of pre-ordered apps and the list of apps added to the wish list.
Problem and suggestions information, including problem category, problem description or suggestion, images you upload, data subject requests, complaints, and customer interaction records.
Feedback information, including problem description, suggestion, and the log you submit in this service. The problem description and suggestion you submit can not identify you. We strongly suggest you not submit any personal information in the description and suggestion.
Advertising service usage information: advertising event data (such as exposure data, click data, download data, installation data, etc.).
To provide you with the App Market, HONOR will process and use your personal data with your consent for user identification, settlement, customer relationship management, support and communication, customer complaint handling, maintenance, system updates, and problem diagnosis and repair purposes. Unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Statement, you will no longer be able to enjoy the relevant service(s) if you refuse the processing of your personal data for these services.
App comment: We will collect and retain your account information and app comment information when you comment on an app in App Market so that you can view your comment history at any time. We will process your app comment information to identify and remove harmful content and language from comments before they are displayed.
App and comment report: We will collect and retain your HONOR ID information and report information when you report an app or comment in App Market so that you can view your report history at any time.
Wish list and pre-orders: We will keep your HONOR ID information, app pre-orders information, and wish list information when you pre-order apps or manage favorites in App Market so that you can view and edit your pre-orders and favorites at any time. After you log in to HONOR App Market with your HONOR ID and we have acquired your consent in App Market, we may send notifications to your device to inform you of the apps in "Wish list" and "My pre-orders" published recently. You can withdraw your consent at any time by going to HONOR App Market > My > Settings > Notifications > Message notification and turning off Notifications.
In addition, we will use your personal data for the following purposes based on our legitimate interests:
User Experience Improvement: We will use your account information, device information, service usage information, report information, app pre-orders information, and wish list information for problem diagnosis and repair as well as improvement of the quality and user experience of our current and future products and services.
Service updates and upgrades: We will collect your app information to provide you with the latest version of the App Market and joint operation app and complete the update to improve the integrity and quality of the product experience.
Personalized recommendations: We will collect your account identifiers, device identifiers, and service usage information to help you discover content that is more interesting. For example, based on your browsing, tapping, searching, and downloading behavior in the App Market and Game Center, we recommend apps that we think may be of interest to you, so as to improve the quality and user experience of future products and services. You can disable the "Personalized recommendations" service in App Market by going to My > Settings > Content > Recommendations > Personalized recommendations to disable "Personalized recommendations" in App Market.
Feedback: We will process your feedback information for complaint handling and giving you support. And for problem diagnosis, we will process the log you submit and your HONOR ID information.
Providing you with advertising services: If you have agreed to enable personalized ads, we will collect your device and usage information, network information, application information, advertising service usage information, and service usage information to display ads, personalize ads, attribute ads, and evaluate ad effectiveness. During this process, we will strictly protect your privacy. We will share your device and usage information, network information, application information, and service usage information with our partners. Our advertising partners will use the advertising identifier to recommend more relevant ads and other promotional content to you. You can learn more about how Honor Ads handles your data and your rights here. You can revoke your consent at any time by going to "App Market" > "My" > "Settings" > "Personalized Ads".
You can object to the processing of your personal data for these above purposes at any time. For further details, please see Section 7.
Your app comments, reports, and the wish list and pre-orders information will be synced to Game Center and another app distribution platform provided by HONOR, so that you can better view, manage, and share your app reviews, ratings, and app usage experience.
3. How Do We Use Your Data for User Profiling?
To provide you with a better user experience and personalized services, such as content-of-interest recommendation, we may use your personal data for user profiling, including device information and service usage information. You can object to such data processing as described in Section 7 below.
Your personal data is stored in the EU/EEA. HONOR complies with all applicable legal requirements to safeguard your personal data transferred outside of the EEA and UK. To share data within our corporate group, we have entered into standard contractual clauses to ensure that an equivalent level of data protection applies to your personal data even where the EEA and UK data protection laws does not directly apply.
We will retain your personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes defined in this Privacy Statement.
The specific retention time of your personal data in relation to App Market is set out below:
Personal data processed for customer relationship management such as complaints and customer interaction records will be retained for up to two (2) years from the last interaction.
Personal data processed for data subject requests will be retained for up to six (6) years from the date of your last interaction with us.
Personal data processed for contract management will be retained for up to two (2) years after your HONOR ID is deleted.
Personal data processed for user experience improvement and marketing will be retained for twelve (12) months from the date of collection.
Personal data processed for problem diagnosis and repair will be retained for six (6) months from collection.
Personal data processed for app comments, app and comment reports, wish list, and pre-orders will be retained during your customer relationship with us unless you delete them.
Personal data processed for feedback will be retained for six (6) months from the data of collection, unless you object to such processing or you stop the service.
Once the retention period expires, we will delete or anonymize your personal data, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations.
In addition, when our products or services stop operating, we will notify you in the form of push notifications, announcements, etc., and delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period.
Your personal data is stored in the EU/EEA. HONOR complies with applicable regulatory requirements to protect your personal data transferred outside the EEA and the UK, even if the EEA and UK data protection laws do not directly apply. If data is shared within our group, we have standard contractual clauses to ensure the same level of data protection for your personal data.
We only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes described in this statement.
6. Which Device Permissions Do We Need?
When you use the services of App Market, we may need you to activate some device permissions, such as List of installed apps and Notifications. The specific purposes are as follows:

(5) You can go to App Market > My > Settings > About > Disable App Market to deactivate the service, stop the collection and use of personal information, and cut off the link with HONOR ID. Logging out of this service will not affect your use of other HONOR products or services. At the same time, when you select "Remove the service and clear all data", this operation will permanently delete your personal information in the cloud of App Market according to the data retention and processing methods described in Section 4. The result of this deletion can not be recovered, please proceed with caution. (6) For objecting to the above processing, please contact us. If your objection is valid, we will stop processing your personal data and delete the relevant data within the scope of your valid objection. (7) If you believe that our processing of your data is unlawful or that your data should be deleted, please contact us.
