If your consent is necessary, we will obtain your consent before using your personal information.

To provide you with the services, with your consent, HONOR will process and use your personal information for the following purposes:

  1. Collection and Use of Personal Information for Basic Identity Management

  1. Using HONOR ID

When you create an HONOR ID, we will collect the phone number you have entered, your device identifier, and network information. When you complete additional information on your account, we use that information to provide you with a better service and experience. For example, we use your date of birth to determine the age of the HONOR ID holder and provide appropriate services accordingly.

When you log in to your HONOR ID, we will collect your device identifier, network information, and browser settings. You can also log in to your HONOR ID with a linked third-party account, such as a WeChat account. The nickname and profile picture you set in your third-party account may be used as those of your HONOR ID. After you log in with your HONOR ID on your device, you will be automatically logged into other services we provide (such as HONOR Club, HONOR Store, HONOR Choice, and My HONOR) when you use them. These services will use the information associated with your HONOR ID (profile picture, nickname, ID, phone number, and date of birth). Your HONOR ID will also be your HONOR premium member. Your ID information (including your phone number) will be used as the membership identifier when you become a member to calculate your credits and points. For details, please refer to the Statement About HONOR Premium Member and Privacy (https://agreement.itsec.honor.com/asm/agrFile/getHtmlFile?agrNo=1122&country=cn&branchId=0&langCode=zh-cn).

Additionally, you can also use the fingerprint information that has been registered to replace the account password for login. This information will only be stored in the secure and trusted area of your device.

You can also use your HONOR ID to log in to third-party services. The third-party service providers will obtain the information associated with your HONOR ID (profile picture, nickname, and ID) that you consent to share. You can go to Settings > Account center > Privacy center > Permission management to manage your account permissions.

You can turn on Family Sharing to share your selected content with your family members. When Family Sharing is turned on, we will use information about your family relationships and family accounts to support content sharing with your family.

You can create and edit your own avatar through MagicAvatar, and then use it for your account profile picture settings.

  1. Real-Name Authentication

You can complete the real-name authentication in your HONOR ID so that you can use your real-name information while using applications. During real-name authentication, we will encrypt the information on your valid ID card, including your name and ID number, and transfer it to our service providers to check and verify your identity. If we need to further confirm the accuracy of the information you provide, we may also need the ID photo and your face image/video. We do not keep your ID photo or face image/video.

After you complete your real-name authentication, we will validate/update your age information (e.g., date of birth ) of your HONOR ID to ensure that the appropriate services can be provided to you.

We will store the valid ID information you provide in an encrypted form and show it anonymously on the device. Your real-name information may be used for auxiliary verification when you retrieve your password or file a complaint. When you use real-name verification or face recognition, in order to verify your identity, the system will check whether the identity information you enter on the third party platform is consistent with the real-name information you set up for your HONOR ID.

To meet national laws and regulations and the provisions of regulatory agencies, other HONOR services (such as HONOR Club) will use your real-name authentication information. Meanwhile, to provide the necessary services, your real-name authentication information will be provided to third-party services but only after your express consent and confirmation.

  1. Collection and Use of Personal Information for Basic Device Management

  1. Device Interconnection

When you purchase our devices and log in to HONOR ID, your HONOR ID can be used as a pass to provide you with a consistent interconnection experience. You can go to Account center > My devices to manage the devices logged in to your ID previously. When you use Bluetooth to pair multiple devices, we will collect your Bluetooth device identifiers for smart accessory connection and store this information on our servers for device authentication purposes. When you use the devices for Smart Home or Health and enable related services, HONOR ID will be used to obtain your device identifiers for display purposes only.

  1. Find Device

You can use the Find Device feature after logging in to your HONOR ID on your device. Find Device will be enabled automatically when your login method meets the requirement, such as login with both the password and SMS verification code. You can locate your device (the system will turn on Location to find the device), ring, or lock the device, erase data, and prevent the device from being rooted or reactivated without your HONOR ID and password. If your Bluetooth device is paired with your phone and has the Find Device feature, you can also locate and ring that device. To locate the device, with authorization from your HONOR ID, we will check the last reported location information of the device. In this regard, we will collect your HONOR ID information, device identifier (UDID), and precise location information of your device. When locating the device, we will collect your precise location information every 90 seconds until you end the search for the device. If you enable "Send the last location", your device will report its last precise location information to the server before running out of battery.

When you turn on the "Enable mobile data remotely" function and the device cannot be located because it is offline, you can tap the offline device on the device list to trigger the SMS connection. The command related to finding the device will be sent by SMS to turn on the mobile data for the offline device. When you use any of the Find Device, "Play ringtone", "Lost mode" or "Erase data" functions of this offline device, the SMS connection command will also be triggered. To provide you with the "Enable mobile data remotely" function, we will collect the number of the SIM card inserted into your device. If another SIM card is inserted, we will collect the new SIM card number and delete the original SIM card number immediately.

If the "Lost mode" is enabled for the device, you can set the SIM card password (PIN) remotely, and when the device is rebooted or the SIM card is inserted/removed, the SIM card password will be required. For this, we need to process the device identifier. We do not store your SIM card PIN.

After joining the Find Device network, you can locate your device even if it is offline, in Power Saving mode, or turned off. Additionally, you can anonymously assist in locating other lost devices that have joined the Find Device network. The Find Device network is a short-range communication network composed of numerous devices, which use Bluetooth to detect nearby lost devices. When a lost device is detected, the Find Device network anonymizes and encrypts the broadcast public key and the device's geographical location information before uploading it to our servers. If you do not wish to use the Find Device network, you can disable this feature by navigating to the device's Settings > Account center > Find Device. You can also turn off Offline Positioning in the Find Device settings of your Bluetooth device (such as a watch), which will disable the device's locating function when it is offline, in Power Saving mode, or turned off.

In addition to the above functions, Find Device can display the current SIM card number and network information to increase the likelihood of finding your device in case you lost it.

Lost mode can lock the device and make it automatically report location data every 10 minutes. We have encrypted all the tracking data of your device and only retain the latest 24 hours of records. When you unlock the device, the reported tracking data will be automatically cleared.

When you use these functions on the website (https://cloud.honor.com) of Find Device, we will collect your browser settings, IP address, cookies, and data usage information to improve our services. You can turn Find Device on or off at any time on its home page.
